Male Portrait Touch Up

I’m often asked how much touching-up do I perform on my male candid portraits. My answer is, “not much…unless the client wants an enlargement: 8x10 or larger". Basically, I minimize distractions caused or enhanced by digital technology, correct lighting imperfections, correct for color and contrast, some softening if needed and that’s about it. Compare these two male portraits. Interested in your feedback.

Wedding Slideshow

Have you heard the good news?

Jamie and Rodger Beaumont were married Sunday, December 20th at the Oak Harbor Elks Club. Friends and family rejoiced until late in the night. Their moss and champagne color themes were enhanced by the talented folks at Distinctive Designs Florist. Combined with the expertise of the Elks’ staff, the staging area was transformed into a romantic high-key forest wonderland. I’m envious…wishing I had half their talent and expertise. I am so glad they are on my team.

Last Minute Christmas Portrait

Finally getting my work-flow down to an efficient art. I was able to capture a range of portraits, assist client in making a selection, touch-up, and produce a print in less than forty-five minutes! End result…client walked away with a surprise Christmas portrait in hand.

Familiarity

Familiarity has it's benefits. I've photographed these darling little ladies many times. They know all the posing ques and quickly snap into intimate or dynamic poses. I know...there are pros and cons. But grandpa was able to get some top of the line portraits of his little lambs and be back home in less than 30 minutes. Smart man...in these recessionary times it pays to shop local.

Riding the Rail!

Saturday was spent with the family at the Lake Whatcom Railway cruising the rails, visiting with Santa and singing Christmas carols. The boys even spent some time fussing over lapping sitting privileges with Santa. It’s good to have a day off once in a blue moon.

Teddy Bear Breakfast-2009

The company and breakfast were great! On location shooting has it's challenges but all-in-all things went well. I need some feedback. This is a I will do again event! Thanks Lyn for the invite.
